Welcome to Mr. Lichty's Second Grade Class Page!
We are having a great start to the school year. Most of our first week was filled with learning routines, rules and completing beginning of the year assessments. We have also begun our first mini-unit in science, learning about what it means to be a scientist. We have also begun mastering our math facts through rocket math. We will soon start reading groups, writing workshop, and our first unit in math.
Parents, remember to keep your students reading every night. Great readers are not born they are created through practice, practice and more practice.
