Hinkletown Mennonite School Annual Benefit Auction

Our annual benefit auction is usually held in October.  It is a time for community building as we work together for the benefit of the school and also a time for lots of great food and fellowship.

Wasn't the pork BBQ delicious at the auction?  Thank you to Savannah Martin, who won first prize in her division at the Eprata Fair.  Savannah's  family members bought the pig and donated it for the HMS pork BBQ.

A typical auction weekend schedule:  

Friday

4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.   Pork BBQ Dinner
                                   Hot Dog Dinner
                                      Meal includes: Pork BBQ sandwich or hot dog, chips, carrots & dip, cole slaw, applesauce, baked beans, cookie, drink
                                          (Eat in or Take out, drive through service available)

                                   Bake Sale
                                   Gift Certificates & Flower Sale
                                   Silent Auction
                                   "Pick a Prize" - where you purchase tickets towards winning an auction item
                                   Cash & Carry stands
7:00 p.m. - 7:45 p.m.   Children's Auction

Saturday

9:00 a.m.     Auction Begins
                   Continental breakfast & all food stands open

                       Donuts, pies & other baked items, fruit cup, salad bar, soup, chicken BBQ,
                               French fries, apple dumplings,
                               ice cream, coffee & drinks, candy

10:00 a.m.   Classroom theme baskets: Grades K-2

10:15 a.m.   Certificates
11:00 a.m.   Collectibles

12:00 p.m.   Classroom theme baskets: Grades 3-5
12:15 p.m.   Specialty items

1:00 p.m.     Patron and staff donations
1:30 p.m.     Quilts and wall hangings
2:00 p.m.     Classroom theme baskets: Grades 6-8
