Welcome From the AdministratorWelcome to Hinkletown Mennonite School. HMS is a fully accredited elementary school serving students in kindergarten through the eighth grade. Our newly expanded facilities allows us to pursue educating children in a manner that focuses on individual needs. We offer a quality Christian education that assists our students in becoming life-long learners and global disciples of Christ.
HMS is located in beautiful Eastern Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, a community built around family values and a strong work ethic. This is reflected in our school where parents and children together, embark on a learning adventure centered on Christ and His teachings. Our curriculum focuses on teaching the whole child and preparing them for the 21st century. Each child is important to us, and through the help of a caring, well-trained faculty team, we strive to meet each child's educational needs.
With fifteen years of experience serving at HMS in a variety of teaching and administrative positions, I have come to care deeply about this school community and the children we serve. I was attracted to the school through reading Handprints, the school newsletter, which was distributed at my church. I knew that the educational philosophy of Hinkletown, with its emphasis on inquiry and hands-on learning as well as its global approach to teaching children about the world and its' people groups, melded with my personal philosophy of teaching. I am happy to say that while we have grown and changed over the years, our philosophy has remained steadfast.
I hope you take the time to find out more about HMS through our site or by visiting the school. Please don't hesitate to contact us with further questions.
