Tuition Assistance & Scholarships

The purpose of the HMS Scholarship Fund is  to keep our quality, Christ-centered education accessible and affordable to families in this community.  Scholarship eligibility and awards are based on household income and family need.

Scholarships are available for tuition for pre-K, kindergarten-grade 8, high school Venture Program, and learning support program tuition.  HMS also offers a pastor scholarship to licensed or ordained pastors. Some churches provide tuition assistance to members of their congregation.  To find out if your church participates in this program, contact your church office or HMS Director of Marketing & Enrollment, Melissa Beidler.

In each school year, over $225,000 in scholarships were awarded to HMS families:

  • Over 65% of families received scholarships
  • Families received from $250 - $4,000+ per student in scholarships awards to offset the cost of tuition

Scholarship applications are due to the school office by April 15. Applications will be accepted after that date as scholarship funds are available. Scholarship award letter and tuition payment information are mailed in May.

HMS scholarships are funded primarily through the Education Improvement Tax Credit and the Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit.  These are state of Pennsylvania tax credits available to incorporated businesses, partners in a partnership or limited liability companies.

These businesses can received up to a 100% tax credit against their PA income tax for contributions made to a qualifying scholarship fund.

Many local business owners have made generous contributions benefiting the HMS Scholarship program.
