Hinkletown Mennonite School Annual Benefit Auction

Friday, October 5 & Saturday, October 6, 2012 

Held Rain or Shine
Our annual benefit auction is held on Columbus Day weekend in October.  It is a time for community building as we work together for the benefit of the school and also a time for lots of great food and fellowship. 

 

Auction Weekend Schedule:  

Friday

4 p.m. - 7 p.m.       Pork BBQ Dinner -- Eat in or Drive-thru take-out service  
                              Bake Sale
                              Gift Certificates & Flower Sale
                              Silent Auction
                              Cash & Carry stands

7 p.m. - 7:45 p.m.   Children's Auction

Saturday

9:00 a.m.     Auction Begins
                   Food stands open

10:00 a.m.   Certificates

                    Kids Corral Children's Activities begin

10:45 a.m.   Classroom theme baskets: Grades K-2

11:00 a.m.   Collectibles

Noon           Classroom theme baskets: Grades 3-5

12:15 p.m.   Specialty items

1:00 p.m.     Patron & staff donations

1:30 p.m.     Quilts & wall hangings

2:00 p.m.     Classroom theme baskets: Grades 6-8

2:15 p.m.     Certificates 

 

Kids Corral Children's Activities--from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

  • Held in the Kids Tent or indoors in the newly available Commons Area (formerly the library)

 

10 a.m. - Noon      Lancaster County Dairy Royalty appearance!  10 a.m. - Noon

 

Noon - 1 p.m.        Sack Races - immediately following the class basket sales

 

One wristband gets all-day fun - only $5 for one of each craft project, unlimited bounce house & face painting! 
  • Crafts - $1 each without a wristband
    • Cowboy bandanna or sand art necklace
    • Drawstring back pack decorating
    • Pumpkin decorating
    • Create a necklace or bracelet (while supplies last)
  • Bounce House - $0.50 each without a wristband
FREE ACTIVITIES
  • Movies in the Commons Area
  • Hay tunnel courtesy of Mast Farms Maze
  • Face painting indoors in the Commons Area

 

Pork BBQ Dinner - Friday, 4-7 p.m.

Eat-in or Drive-thru take-out available

Dinners include baked beans, chips, cole slaw, apple sauce, carrot sticks, cookie, & drink

Pork BBQ Dinner:  $8
Hot Dog Dinner:    $4

Pork BBQ Sandwich only:  $4
Hot Dog only:                  $1.50

 

Snack Stand - open from 7-8 p.m.

Candy:           prices vary
Sodas & drinks:    $1
Bottled Water:      $1
Ice cream cones:  $1.50
Root beer float:    $2.50

 

 

Little Hands Cafe--opens Saturday at 9 a.m. in the tent, served cafeteria-style
